Ok so Maybe I am just being impatient, but we've had out house for sale now for 5 weeks, and the calls from realtor's WILL NOT STOP. Yet no one has even called or come by with any interest (except realtor's)
We've put it up for sale by owner, because we have no equity in our place since the market took a huge nose dive. So we figure we could sell it ourself, and avoid thousands of dollars paid out into commissions.
Well we decided though that we would be happy to let realtor's come through our place to check it out, and bring us potential buyers.
Jake and I spent 6 hours on Thursday scrubbing and cleaning the house, so we would ready it to be shown, and we want to have a few open houses soon. Any way, needless to say the Realtor came by and was VERY nice. She said out house shows well, and we are not obligated to sign with her, but she is definitely going to bring some people by. She said she actually knows a mother who wants to buy a place like ours for her son and some friends who will be going to school. That would be great, but so far we don't want to get our hopes up.
Jake said though that we should try to sell our house every year, because our house is SOOOOO clean, I mean CLEAN as can be, I was on my hands and knees scrubbing base boards and corners of the kitchen cupboards, jake fixed any and all blemishes on walls, holes, lights out ETC. I'm telling you our house hasn't been this clean EVER.
So even if our house stays on the market for 2 years, it will continue to be clean and ready for people to see!!!!

when we were trying to sell our home in layton, a realator would always call and say, 'we are outside your home, can we just come in?' and it would always be after parker pooped (smelly) or i was in the middle of canning food and the place wasnt quite as clean as i would like. good luck-i know it sucks to have to keep the house THAT clean (im sure your home is clean, but there is a 'showing the home clean' that is a pain to maintain!)
