100 things you would LIKE to know about the Butlers!

So I've had a few "blogger" friends do this 100 things about us post, and so i decided to follow suit, i thought it was very interesting to read theirs..so here goes...hopefully i can think of the 100 things...


1. Jake and I started dating when I was 15 & he was 18
2. He took me on my "first official" date on my 16th birthday to eat sushi, i hated it
3. I now LOVE sushi
4. Jake has wanted to be a firefighter since he was little
5. Jake is now a City of Mesa Firefighter!
6. The first time i felt McKenzie move/kick me when i was prego was the morning of mothers day. It woke me up and I grabbed Jake's hand and he felt it too.
7. Jake used to wear really dorky glasses
8. I also used to wear very dorky glasses.
9. I now wear contacts
10. Jake and my favorite constellation is orions belt.
11. Jake bought me a star in the galaxy surrounding orions belt when he asked me to marry him.
12. McKenzie was 7 lbs 5 oz when born
13. When you ask McKenzie to say something and she can't or doesn't want to, she says "yes"
14. I have 4 older brothers
15. jake has one older brother, 2 step sisters, 2 half sisters, one adopted sister and one half brother.
16. After Jake served his mission in Hawaii he decided he should have been born into the Polynesian culture.
17. Jake cooks better than i do.
18. I enjoy cleaning my house.
19. When I was 2 or 3 yrs old i left my house with 3 cents trying to go to circle K to buy a slushie, the cops later found me and brought me home, my parents were mortified.
20. Jake once wrote a letter to his grandparents asking them to pick him up from his moms house stating "get me out of this funny farm" his grandmother still has the letter.
21. McKenzie was born with two little skin tags on her left ear. One fell off the other still remains, it will be removed before she gets into school.
22. Jake cried when McKenzie was born, and he NEVER cries, i told him he would and it was so cute.
23. I am terrible at math, yet work as a bank teller, good thing we have calculators.
24. My first job was a cashier at Wendy's
25. to be honest I don't know what Jake's first job was....
26. Jake had BLONDE hair as a child
27. Jake has VERY curly hair, and McKenzie got that from her daddy
28.I love Coach purses
29. I'm obsessed with my car, its a yellow new VW beetle.
30. Our dog molly just turned 11, and I've had her since she was 8 weeks old
31. Molly is Jake and my first child
32. Molly smiles, people say she isn't a dog she is a alien because she is so good
33. Jake really loves the outdoors, when he was 13 he went backpacking with some "group" and wore camouflage paint on his face, he also says he had a huge crush on the girl who led them because she was older and into backpacking...
34. I like to "camp" but for one night, I like my bed and my shower
35. Jakes childhood best friend Jonathan is stil his best friend
36. Ive known my best friend since Kindergarten and we still hang out at least once a week
37. McKenzie's first word was "dada"
38. Her second work was "ruff ruff"
39. 3rd word.."mama"
40. I was 12 before going to Disneyland for the first time.
41. Jake's parents lived in Hawaii before he was born, and then Jake served his mission in the same area and same ward where his father was converted and baptized.
42. Jake is a cowboy at heart
43. I am a stubborn high maintenance girl at heart :)
44. Molly talks to you if you tell her something she doesn't want to hear, like "go away" or "go lay down" or " we're not going outside right now" she will moan and groan at you as to say "awww mom c'mon"
45. Jake is a native to Arizona and is 3rd generation native
46. McKenzie is 4th generation native.
47. I was born in Sandy Utah and lived there 3 days before moving to AZ where my parents had already moved to prior to my birth...(im basically a native to AZ)
48. I was named after 2 men
49. Jakes middle name is Haight
50. McKenzie is named after no one, we just really liked her name.
51. Jake talks in his sleep, A LOT
52. One time on his mission in his sleep he said to one of his companions "why don't you eat that like a real goat"
53. jake broke the fart barrier 6 months into us dating
54. I broke the fart barrier on our wedding day
55. Jakes favorite movie is Braveheart
56. my favorite movie is undecided..i love way to many
57. McKenzie LOVES telletubbies, Barney and Sponge bob
58. As a seminary devotional once, Jake brought in two glasses with a goldfish, one glass had water, the other glass had BEER! He wanted to show how beer distorted your mind, as he put the fish into the beer and it freaked out....he got into trouble with the seminary teacher for bringing beer into the church building.
59. I've been in the car with jake on more then one occasion where he ran a red light...not realizing it.
60. Jake loves guns
61. I love getting my nails done especially pedicures
62. i went to school to me a massage therapist
63. jake has his degree in fire science
64. McKenzie loves to read books, her favorite book is the doggie book
65. McKenzie is a very good dancer, look below in the post "nothing better to do"

68. jake is a very good provider for our family
69. Jake said he loved me on September 12th, 2001 (ironically enough this is McKenzies birthday 5 years later)

71. the first time jake kissed me he stole the kiss and we weren't even dating!
72. In Jr High I was voted Vice President of Student Council it was rad
73. Jake used to play the trumpet in band.
74. I used to play the string Bass in Elementary and Jr High
75. Jake played football in High School and also did Theater.
76. in High School jake fixed up his pops old truck 1973 dodge, and drove it around to most of his dates.
77. McKenzie was go potty on the toilet, but wont do it unless I sit her on it....
78. My favorite color is Yellow
79. McKenzie tells us when she want to go "Nigh Nigh" and goes right to sleep its wonderful
80. McKenzie has slept through the night in her own crib since she was 5 weeks old.
81. Jake lived in Tucson for most of his childhood
82. I lived in Tempe for most of mine.
83. Jakes sister Deborah is one of my best friends, and was before i knew Jake
84. Jakes senior year in high school he sang Love potion #9 for a choir concert. it was great
85. Jake and I were married on April Fools day
86. I love the movie Saturdays Warrior ( 80's mormon based movie musical)
87. I've been told on numerous times i talk to loud....
88. I am scared of the dark
89. Jake rides his bike 6 miles to work every morning at 530 am
90. I can't ride my bike around the block....
91. When McKenzie sees any form of water (pool, fountain, bath tub, stream) she calls it a "Baps" (its how she says baths)
92. The first name McKenzie ever said was "TYLO" Uncle Tyler. now she won't say it at all....
93. Jake and I have never broken any bones (knock on wood)
94. As of today McKenzie is 1 year, 9 months one week and 3 days old.
95. Jake and I are both LEOS.
96. I have serious anxiety ever since McKenzie was born and jake became a firefighter, i fear for them leaving me or dying.
97. Jake get overwhelmed when there a re a lot of people around or our house is messy, in both cases he starts to clean to relax.
98. Jake and I have been married 3 years, 2 months and 3 weeks.
99. Jake and I have been together (since we started dating til now) 6 years, 11 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days.
