So McKenzie was born with 2 skin tags, which we called her earrings. At 2 weeks old one of them fell off.
One remained it was a pretty good size too. We took kinz to a ear nose and throat Doctor and he said to wait until she was at least one to have it removed, and considering it's size, she would have to be put under anesthetic for the procedure.
Being the good procrastinators that we are, we held off longer than that. So on Friday November 7th, at 6AM We took her to her surgery. Our Doctor was SOOOO awesome, he is a board certified Ear nose and throat doctor as well as a facial plastic surgeon! They told us that there was a small cyst underneath the tag that was removed and would be sent for a biopsy just to be safe.
She woke up from the anesthetic and was PISSSSSED, but apparently that is normal for young children. She kept trying to rip out her I.V and was very sad she was in a hospital bed, with nurses everywhere. Once they took out her I'V (because she nearly tore it out) and cuddled with her daddy she was much better. We got her home and daddy watched spongebob with her in our bed, gave her some Tylenol and she was good to go! You would never even know this little one had been through a surgery! what a champ! here are some pictures of the skin tag before, and now her bandage. In a week they will give up the results of the biopsy and take off her bandage. She has stitches that will dissolve so no need to have that trauma having to have them removed.
I told Jake I was sad her little skin tag is gone, I thought it was cute, and a little piece of her! He said she would never forgive us as a teenager if we didn't have it removed, so we did...anyhow it's over and we are happy :)

Poor girl!!! I was so scared we were going to have to do surgery on Brooklyns ear. But every thing is ok and we are leaving it. I am glad she did ok with the surgery and is all fixed up!!

What a champ!
kids are amazing. i would have taken a week off of work if i had had that done.
Awe kinzy! Kids just bounce back! I freaked out and just kept praying Abigail wouldn't die after signing all the 'what if' paperwork. I think it's harder on the adults than the kids!
I'm coming over to see it!
Wow, what a trooper- all of you! It's probably pretty traumatic when your child is in for surgery for any reason.
I am so glad it went ok. She is such a big girl. How is everything going for you? I hope all is well.
