Jake leaned over to me and said "What were we doing today 4 years ago?" We both lay there thinking and barely recalling the events of this day. Although today is not our wedding anniversary, tomorrow is, it was interesting to think back on what things did occur today 4 years ago.
I vaguely remember begging Jake to skip school than night, and help decorate the church, I remember Sage taking me to lunch because I was so frazzled that the boy scouts were having a pack meeting and we couldn't get into the cultural hall until 7pm. I remember becoming angry because no one showed up on time to our rehearsal, and I became a bit of a bridezilla.
I remember though the night becoming wonderful once everyone showed up, everyone was helping and being so nice, things came together quickly and our reception area was ready. How exciting. I remember most though Jake dropping me off that night at our "soon to be first place" and saying "goodnight, see you in the morning soon to be wife, Sleep good"
Fantastic. I slept great actually and woke up refreshed and ready to become MRS. BUTLER.
April FOOLS day: 2005
9:00am our Temple sealing. WE ARE MARRIED! Now I vaguely remember this day now too...
But a few moments that still make me smile and cry. The first time Jake and met up before being ushered into our sealing room, we were able to speak with the sealer, and stay in a room together for 10 mins or so, until all our guests arrived. That was the most special moment of the day and I wasn't even married!
I remember then walking into the sealing room, and seeing my Grandpa Holly, who told me he wouldn't be able to make it. Sitting front row smiling. I broke down in to tears of Joy and knew my day was complete. The ceremony was beautiful and I sometimes think back on the words and promises told to me that day. I'm so very happy for my faith, my family and my husband.
Although it seemed our engagement would never end, I can say now I can't believe how each moment has flown by! Happy Anniversary for 4 wonderful years together, and Happily Ever after still awaits our eternity. I'm so excited to spend all this time with Jake, and Love him more every day for the Husband father and friend he is to me!

uuuhm... I'd just like to say that you seriously need to warn me before you make me cry enough to need an emergency tissue!!! So beautiful! I'm glad Grandpa and Sage were there for you while I was having a mental break down moving out of that house!!
You and Jake were meant for each other and I was SOOO Happy because secretly ever since your 16th party I want you to be with him. I can still see him being grabbed by 3 or 4 guys by the pool while laughing and yet with the jedi reflexes tossing the cell phone out of his pocket a nano second before hiting the water! He sealed that "brother in law" idea for me when he spent the whole day fixing the van for me. What a guy! I hope you had a wonderful 4th Anniversary!!!
