Wana see something sick?
Jake burned his ear at work, you're all probably wondering...well don't they wear protective gear..the answer is YES....but the fire is well over 500 degrees and the HEAT can still burn them and it did. He is fine with the exception of his 2nd degree crispy ear. He's bummed too because docs orders wont allow him to work on the truck as a "fireman" until he is healed, so for the next week or so he is going to be doing office work pushing papers 9-5...lame.
He called me after the fire to tell me he was on his way to the hospital for a burn...the m worst nightmare as his wife, but thank goodness it was just his ear :)

He burned only his RIGHT ear, these pictures were taken 3 days later...so he's actually healed a bit. First day was a HUGE bubble! serious! Grossssss... Glad he's doing better :P
So on Friday night Tatum got to sleepover at our house! McKenzie was SO excited! Brady is still to young for her to enjoy, and she and Tatum have a blast together. It seems silly, but I think Tatum was switched at birth, I mean really she should be my daughter! not because she is so stinking cute, but neither of my children look like me, and she does! YAY! and to prove my point...here is a video, and a picture of me as a baby making similar faces :)

Ok...So even though my children look MOSTLY like Jake...I couldn't help but find similarities in Brady and I...I mean he DOES have the "SERVICE" Jaw and cheeks...and I found this picture of me, and put it next to Brady...SAWEET! maybe there is hope that my children resemble me :)
I told Jake I was tempted to take Tatum, Brady and McKenzie to the Mall last night while babysitting and seeing if people would tell me how cute my children were, just so I could ask "which one do you think isn't mine?" Jake and I both said they would prob have guessed McKenzie...blonde blue eyes and curly hair....hmmm...anyway have a nice weekend!

wow!! Jake's ear is looking good! I could hardly look at it before.
I know...Marley doesn't look like me either. It makes me sad. But she is just so beautiful.
I am glad Jake is okay, his ear is looking good. I can see some similarities with you and Brady.
Poor Jake! I know how it is to have people ask if your children belong to you. No one doubts Reid but Owen is a toss up since I am Asian and should have an Asian looking child right? :)
