When I went into labor with Brady on September 10th, 2009 I was 35 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Brady was considered "premature". While in the hospital the nurse explained to me that we needed to prepare for small possible complications because he wasn't yet considered "full term" Things like breathing problems, latching, low birth weight ect... As most of you know when Brady was born he was definitely not the size of a preemie! 7lbs 4oz, one oz from McKenzie's birth weight, although he did stay in NICU for 8 days with breathing problems, and I was never able to nurse him due to latching and feeding problems..anyway... Again back to the nurse talking to me... After he was born the nurse came over to tell me he was doing ok, was a good size, was pink, but was really gasping for air, and his chest and stomach were showing signs of stress, and that I could hold him for just a minute before they needed to take him away, she then told me, girls are usually fighters and even as preemies they get better really fast and boys give them a harder time, and she then said, hopefully yours won't be a "Weenie white boy!" HAHAHAHAHAHA.
That's how he got his nickname, because unfortunately he was weenie white boy, he stayed longer than anticipated, he did obviously get better...Although he had good birth weight this little guy is a SHRIMP!
Monday we had his 4 month well check up and here are his stats:
Birth weight : 7lbs, 4oz
Current weight: 13lbs, 4 oz (26%)
Length: 25 3/4 (77%)
Head: 16 4/10 (24%)
Dang He is CUTE! Even if he is a shrimp! He is TALL like his daddy, but Brady is just a TINY guy! At McKenzie's 4 month well check up, she was 105% ON ALL STATS!
Guess Brady will be one handsome, tall skinny guy!

I was just thinking...that sounds pretty normal to me since my boys had similar stats at that age. What a funny story to tell him when he gets older.

He is super cute! And he's got plenty of time to grow, so you never know, he might end up being a big guy when he grows up. For a preemie, he definitely wasn't small at birth!
He really is super cute! Like Karin said, he may catch up soon...especially since he was such a big preemie!
