Mimu(mee-moo) is Jake's grandma. Wednesday night we had to take her to the hospital for low hemoglobin.
On the drive to the hospital (as i sat in the back seat) I snapped this picture of my wonderful husband, holding his Grandma's hand.
Isn't he sweet? Mimu was/is scared, and later she told Jake's mom how much this meant to her. I'm so glad I thought to take a picture.
Friday the news came in that Mimu has Leukemia, it is in her blood results, it has progressed pretty far, we're waiting to hear more results after her appointment coming up next week.
Please pray for her, if you know Mimu, she is the sweetest lady, and we're saddened by this fight she has to now go through. She is a fighter, and we know the Lord will take care of her. :)

I am so sorry! That picture is so sweet. I think that says a lot about your hubby and the relationship he has with his grandma.

love the picture - that totally captures their relationship. mimu is the sweetest wome - i still remember going out for pancakes with her - she will def. be in my prayers - i hope all things work out - have you looked into cord blood? i've heard it can help lukemia patients. just know this since we are considering it for our adoptive son - seeing as he won't be related to us, etc.
I'm so sad to hear this. I love Mimu. I hope everything goes well in the next few weeks.
I love Mimu! She wouldn't even remember me, but I sure remember her! What a wonderful woman! I am so sorry to hear about her Leukemia. I work in oncology- if you guys have questions or worries feel free to pick my brain. I wish her the best.

That is the sweetest thing! You know a man is good when he cares that much about his grandma. Getting old is so hard. She is fortunate to have a great family to help her through this, though.
