It's nice to be home

I must say, I feel so loved with all the comments I received about my "bump in the road" post.

It was just a bump already her prayers say "thank you mommy not going to work tomorrow", and she is back to jumping in bed with me every morning at 730 waking me like sleeping beauty with a kiss, telling me "I love you mommy, I missed you" then watching Calliou (shutter) Dora, and Mickey Mouse so I can sleep another hour or so.

Jake and I received our tax refund on Friday February 12th, and I must say, it is the largest tax refund thus far in our marriage, and by far the fastest we have EVER spent that much money! BUT, for a good cause! We paid off Jake's Toyota Corolla! We bought this baby 2 weeks after we got married, and just shy of our 5 year anniversary it is OURS! :)

When we bought the car we got a voucher from Toyota for $50 to go have dinner "on them". So we celebrated our new purchase with dinner at Outback steakhouse.
Our lovely friends Van & Roxxi bought us a Outback gift card for Christmas this year, and we must say THANK YOU, because it was our CELEBRATORY pay off car dinner, and Valentines Friday night!!

Yayy for paying off your car!

I am glad things are going better with you and McKenzie. I really didn't have any advice since my boys are still young and haven't been through any phases like that yet. Although, it does make my husband sad that Conner always wants to be around me and only sometimes around him. I think it's just hard to be a kid and feel secure all the time so they cling to somebody who they think will be around the most. Up until now, it was Jake who was home the most, so now she is having a hard time adjusting to the change. This is just another hard parent phase to go through!
