We blessed our lil Kaitlyn today, surrounded by lots of family and friends :)
The dress she wore was sewn by my mom, and has a special story...
McKenzie was blessed in the same dress I wore on my blessing day, Brady wore the outfit Jake wore on his blessing day, and then Kaitlyn had nothing! I felt she needed a special dress of her own. When Jake and I were married we were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona LDS temple. I wore a white temple dress to be sealed in instead of my wedding gown because I didn't want i to wrinkle. That dress no longer fits me (3 babies=not skinny mama) So We cut the skirt off of it, and created a PERFECT blessing dress for Kaitlyn. We did add a few embellishments to the waistline, and sleeves, but the integrity of my original dress shows through, and I couldn't be happier! Here's a picture of my dress before, and then here it is being worn by Kaitlyn.
